Dr. Marie-Laure Yaspo is a molecular geneticist with extensive experience in genomics and cancer research.
She conducted postdoctoral research at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London. Since 1996, she has served as a research group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics (MPIMG) in Berlin, where she leads the Gene Regulation and Systems Biology of Cancer group. She has co-authored over 120 scientific publications.
Dr. Yaspo coordinated the International Consortium for Sequencing Human Chromosome 21 and contributed to the International Cancer Genome Consortium. She led the genomics efforts within the IMI OncoTrack project. She coordinated Treat20Plus, a translational melanoma study conducted with the Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center, developing innovative diagnostics to guide personalized treatment strategies. Her current research in cancer genomics and systems biology focuses on integrating multi-omics technologies for clinical applications and biomarker identification.
