Technical Assistant or Engineer in Next Generation Sequencing

You will have the opportunity to contribute to interdisciplinary projects in the field of personalised medicine as part of an international team. You will be responsible for the processing and technical developments of NGS applications, e.g. exome/whole genome, RNA-Seq. Tasks include sample processing, documentation of all work processes according to ISO9001 and ISO17025 standards, laboratory organization, stock control and ordering.

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated team player with professional training as a technical assistant (BTA, MTA, biological laboratory technician) or equivalent and extensive wet-lab experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in DNA/RNA isolation from different materials (blood, fresh frozen tissue, FFPE) and prior hands-on experience of sample preparation for NGS. Proven experience with modern NGS platforms, qPCR or digital PCR, and within laboratories with strict quality control systems (e.g. ISO9001, ISO17025, GMP, GLP) would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills and fluency in German and English is required.
